How to Use the Visual Fraction Builder

To begin building your fraction, first choose how many total slices you want your shape broken into by clicking a number in the Denominator control panel. Next, simply click directly on any of the individual slices inside the bar canvas to shade them in maroon. As you add or remove color, watch the Abstract Notation display at the bottom instantly update, revealing exactly how your shaded parts stack up against the total number of parts.
